Goyomatsu is a pine species native to Japan with short and needle-like leaves that appear silvery-blue under light. It is named 'Goyomatsu' as each twig has five leaves. However in different Kanji, 'goyo' means business, and 'matsu' means wait, therefore many believe that it brings special luck in business success. The leaves of this short leaf variety from Miyajima island are around 2 cm in length.
