Phalaenopsis doweryensis is a rare species under the same section as gigantea. Native to Borneo, this large leaf species has a maximum leaf span of close to 1 meter. The leaves are round and have a silvery surface. The parent plants have flowers with a green base and brown spots. The flowers are round, around 6 cm in size, and have a light scent.
