Ginsekai is a seedling mutation of Nishidemiyako, with straight tsuke and upward standing leaves.  It has strong white to creamy marginal variegation on the fan-shaped leaves, which may sometimes morph into Nakafu (central variegation) on the newer growths. It is highly ranked in the Meikan chart by the Japanese Fukiran Society. The flowers are pure white in colour, around 4 cm in size and have a strong jasmine-like fragrance.
